Garden Club Progress!

Dear Green Roof Followers,

It has been too long! I'm sure you are curious as to what we've been up to. We had quite a persistent rat problem up in our deck garden. It was really frustrating! Every time we'd plant veggies, our crops would be thriving, then these roof rats invade and eat everything! We will never be defeated by a pack of pesky rodents! Our creativity was put to the test and we devised systems to keep rats out. Our designs have been effective and our garden is coming back to life.





We recently planted raspberries. The bare root bushes are thriving thanks to the Spring rains. Our worm bin has recovered from the heat waves San Francisco experienced this Fall. It is so nice seeing life in our bin again. We planted radish seeds a number of weeks ago. The seeds were successful, sprouted, are fully grown, and our radishes are ready to harvest. This radish success is surely due to our handy-dandy rat barriers. Today we worked hard completing our regular maintenance routines and planted three varieties of greens.
